HARRIS, Elva Mae

The funeral for Elva Mae Harris (nee Crossman) of Howlan, beloved wife of Newton Harris, was held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O'Leary with service conducted by Pastor Chris Price. Remembrances of their Nannie were offered by granddaughters Lindsay Lidstone and Chelsey Gallant. The Scriptures Philippians 4: 12 & 13 was read by granddaughter Kaitlin McInnis and Psalm 23 was read by grandson Adam McInnis. The choir under the direction of organist Ruth Smallman sang "We Are Going Down The Valley" and "Leaning On His Everlasting Arms". The duet of Ruth and Thiren Smallman sang "Where The Roses Never Fade". Everyone in attendance was considered to be an honorary pallbearer. The pallbearers were grandsons Eric Lidstone, Adam McInnis, Jordan McInnis, sons-in-law Gordon Lidstone, Eugene McInnis and nephew Dana Harris. The flowerbearers were granddaughters Angel Gillis, Lori MacKendrick, Jodi Lidstone, Lindsay Lidstone, Chelsey Gallant and Kaitlin McInnis. Interment followed in the Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery.
