HICKEN, Harold Messervy

The funeral service for Harold Messervy Hicken was held Sunday, December 27, 2009, from Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home Chapel. The service was conducted by Rev. Mark Buell and assisted by Glynis Faith. The organist was Irene Fraser. Granddaughter, April Ennis, read a poem during the service. The congregational hymn was The Last Mile Of The Way. During the service, soloist, Joan Livingstone sang What A Friend We Have In Jesus. The Murray Harbour North Pastoral Charge choir sang In The Sweet By And By as the recessional. Pallbearers were Bobby Graham, Kevin Llewellyn, Greg Felix, and grandsons, Brian Hicken, Jason Hicken and Wade Rourke. Flowerbearers were granddaughters, Tracy Hicken, Tina Stewart, Cynthia Hicken, Tammy MacDonald and great-grandchildren, Charlene Felix, Jenalee Hicken, Darion Hicken, Morgan Hicken and Taylor Hicken. Among those attending the service were Past MLA members and MP Lawrence MacAulay, staff of Cavendish Agri Services and staff of Kings County Memorial Hospital. Interment took place in the Murray Harbour North Cemetery.
