LECLAIR, Winnie

The funeral for the late Winnifred Emaline (Winnie) LeClair, beloved wife of the late Claude LeClair, was held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, to St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, where funeral mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. by Rev. James Willick, who delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendation and farewell. The first reading was addressed by Joanne Perry. The second reading was addressed by Mary Bernard, who also invited the prayers of the faithful. The euchristic ministers were Marjorie Jeffery and Connie McInnis. The cross bearer was George Doucette and the candle bearers were Charles Bernard and Joseph DesRoches and the alter server was James Hogan. The choir was under the direction of Vincent Doucette and the organist was Antoinette Perry. The processional hymn was "Here I am Lord". The Psalm was "In the Sight of the Angels I Will Sing Your Praises Lord". The offertory hymn was "Blest Are the Pure in Heart". The communion hymn was "Amazing Grace" and "Come to the Water". The song of farewell was "Songs of the Angels". The recessioanl hymn was "Immaculate Mary". The honorary pallbearers were Janet and Vincent Shea, Claude and Roma Dorgan, Doris and Phillip Gavin, Eileen and Stafford Gavin, Ausdrey and James Doucette, Allan McInnis, Alvin Hackett, Tommy Perry, Leigh Gavin, Theresa Martin, Viola MacAulay, Joanne Plummer, Catherine Arsenault, Cyril and Vinnie Arsenault. The active pallbearers were grandsons Jacob LeClair, Jaret Connick, Quentin Gillis, Roger Wells and nephews Michael McInnis, Bruce Hackett. The flowerbearers were grandchildren Terrilyn LeClair, Bobbi-Jo LeClair, Jackie LeClair, Emma LeClair, Maggie Connick, Krystal Gillis, Desare LeClair, Alicia Shea. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. James Willick officiating.
