The funeral service for Lloyd MacDonald, of Charlottetown and formerly of Stratford, was held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home, with Pastor Marie Kenny, LIC, officiating, including the prayers and the sermon. His daughter, Donna Duffy, read words of remembrance. His granddaughter, Tammy Beazley, proclaimed the first reading. Organist was Velma Brehaut. Soloist Anne Quinn rendered the hymn, Amazing Grace. Congregational hymns were: The Old Rugged Cross and How Great Thou Art. Flowerbearers were grandchildren, Sean MacDonald, Nathaniel Flynn, Jecenta Duffy and Jennifer Toste. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Arbing, Rose Clinton, Matthew Duffy, Allan MacDonald, Donnie Frizzell and Paul Crawford. Pallbearers were Karen Crawford, Darlene Crawford, Philip Crawford, Justin Dougan, Tony Toste and Barry MacNeil. Representatives from Gemini Screen Print & Embroidery and Fair Isle Ford Ltd. were in attendance. Interment followed at West Covehead United Church Cemetery with Pastor Marie Kenny conducting the graveside prayers. Completion of funeral arrangements was entrusted to the Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford.
