The funeral for Erma J. MacLauchlan (nee MacEachern), of Charlottetown and formerly of Canoe Cove, was held Wednesday, August 11, 2010, from the Cutcliffe Funeral Home Chapel where Rev. Dr. Gordon Matheson conducted the funeral service. During the funeral service, organist and soloist, Luke Thompson, sang the musical selections The Briar and The Rose and Amazing Grace. Also during the service, family remembrances were shared by Tom Hilton, and Sandra Brehaut read Scriptures. Pallbearers were Ron Gillespie, Kevin Gillespie, Gene Gillespie, Deborah Gillespie, Sandra Brehaut and Marlene Boulster. The interment took place in the family plot at the People's Cemetery where Rev. Dr. Matheson conducted the graveside service.
