The funeral for Patricia M. Malone was held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, from Belvedere Funeral Home to St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church, St. Margaret's where the mass was presided over by Father Doug MacDonald, who also proclaimed the Gospel and delivered the homily. The readings were proclaimed by Anne Kells and Janet Malone, CND. Helen MacDonald led the assembly in the prayers of intercession. During the mass, the assembly was led by Doug and Marion Clorey in singing "Be Not Afraid", "I Will Never Forget You My People", "Peace Prayer" and "Go to Your God". Doug and Marion sang "Wherever You Go" accompanied by Jeannie Gauthier-MacKenzie who read the accompanying narration. Peter and Lem Chaisson played "Fiddler's Lament" as the recessional. Piper Matthew MacLaine played "Going Home" and "MacCrimmon's Lament" at the church and "Amazing Grace" at the graveside. Interment took place in St. Margaret of Scotland Cemetery, St. Margaret's. Those attending the funeral liturgy included members of the Silver Threads Club, Senior Peer Helpers, members of PFLAG and Pat's nursing classmates of 1963, who formed an honour guard at the church.
