MARCHBANK, Louise Maud

The funeral service for Louise Maud Marchbank (nee Johnson), formerly of New Annan, P.E.I., beloved wife of the late Clarence Marchbank and also her second husband, the late John Marchbank, was held Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, from the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, then to Kensington United Church, Kensington, by Rev. Jack Spencer. Words of remembrance were shared by her granddaughter, Lauren Craig, and Pauline Walker and Mae Mellish shared in the Women's Institute tribute. A duet, Be Thou My Vision, was played and sung by granddaughters, Lindsay Miller and Lauren Craig. The congregational hymns led by members of the church choir were How Great Thou Art and What A Friend We Have In Jesus. Organist was Bethany Dawson. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dean Gillis, Jamie, Paul and Kent Marchbank; and grandsons-in-law, Philip Miller and Jay Carr. Also in attendance were representatives of the Federated Women's Institute of P.E.I., the alumni of the Provincial Women's Institute, Travellers Rest WI and members of the Unit #2 and General Kensington UCW. Interment will take place at a later date in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
