The funeral service for Joseph "Wilbert" Martell of Summerside, and formerly of Cape Breton, N.S., beloved husband of the late Bertha (nee Briand) Martell was held on Friday, January 15, 2010, from the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel, Summerside, by Rev. Brian MacDougall. The readings were read by Tina and Patrick Briand. The Gospel was proclaimed by Father MacDougall, who also delivered the homily and led in the prayers of the faithful. Two hymns played on CD were, "Go Rest High on that Mountain" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". Interment will take place at a later date in Cape Breton. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
