The funeral for Reta McNally, wife of the late Dillon McNally, of Summerside, was held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, where funeral mass was celebrated at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Brad Sweet who delivered the homily, assisted by Deacon Cyrus J. Gallant who proclaimed the Gospel and led in the prayers of the faithful. Cross bearer was Jimmy Arsenault. Candle bearers were Ivan Pineau and Everett Durant. Incense bearer was Harold Murphy. The first reading was given by Lindsay Cameron and the second by Danielle McNally. Processional hymn was "Here I Am Lord". Hymns were "Be Not Afraid" and "I Am The Bread of Life". Recessional Hymn was "Sing of One Who Walks Beside Us". Organist was Geraldine Hynes. St. Paul's Choir was under the direction of Carol Gallant. Ushers were Yvonne Gallant and Eleanor Doiron. Parking attendant was Gordie Arsenault. Pallbearers were Merle Paynter, Bernie Cameron, Raymond Cameron and Jimmy Gaudet. Interment was in St. Paul's Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Sweet officiating.
