The funeral for Theresa Myers was held Friday, January 8, 2010, from the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road to the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, where funeral mass was celebrated by Rev. Art Pendergast, who also delivered the homily and had the prayers of final commendation and farewell. The first reading was read by Stella Gaudet. The second reading and prayers of the faithful were read by Betty Pitre. The adult church choir sang under the direction of Velda Gallant accompanied by organist Anita Doucette. The entrance hymn was "Here I Am Lord". The psalm was "The Psalm of the Good Shepherd". The offertory hymn was "O Mother Saint Anne". The communion hymns were "I Watch the Sun Rise" and "J'irai la Voir un Jour". The farewell song was "Songs of the Angels". The recessional hymns were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art". The altar servers and eucharistic ministers were members of the Catholic Women's League, servers Cathy Corrigan, Anna Arsenault, Kathleen Doucette and communion Betty Perry, Stella Gallant and Diana Gaudet. The Palmer Road CWL formed an honour guard and attended as a body; also in attendance were representatives from the Doucette Family Card Party Group. The pallbearers were Billy Myers, Elmer Martin, Clarence Buote, Raymond Gaudet, Ronnie Gaudet and Roy LeClair. The flower bearers were granddaughters Jamie, Jasmine and Erin Myers. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Pendergast officiating. Thursday afternoon the CWL held a prayer service under the direction of Anna Arsenault. The reading was read by Stella Gallant and the group sang "Immaculate Mary".
