The funeral for Errol Pauptit, of Sherbrooke, was held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to the Trinity United Church, Summerside, where service was conducted at 1 p.m. by Rev. Dr. Andrew Richardson. Personal reflections were given by Errol's children, Kris and Kelli, as well as from his friend Jim Mayne. Joan Reeves and Judy McGregor rendered the duets "Until Then" and "How Great Thou Art". Scripture readings were given by Errol's niece Allyson McCarron. The congregational hymn was "Amazing Grace". Organist was Christine Anderson-Gallant. Ushers were Arnie Winsor and Richard Rankin. Attending the funeral service were management, directors and staff of Green Diamond Equipment Ltd. and representatives of the council and administration of the Community of Sherbrooke. Honorary pallbearers were Charles and Judy Coughlin, Shawn Taylor, Brian Mills, Gerald Pollock, George and Myrna Stewart, Urban and Mary Laughlin, Carolyn and Wendell Taylor, Hazel Colwill, Beryl Lawless, Phyllis Hamill and Sandra McCourt. Pallbearers were Ron Chappell, Joe Laughlin, David Perry, Clare MacDonald, Wayne Bernard and Greg MacDonald. Flower bearers were Darla Brown, Dawn Pauptit and Laurie Power. Interment will take place late in St. Malachy's cemetery, Kinkora.
