The funeral service for Velma Katherine Rayner (nee Smith) of Summerside, beloved mother of Norma (David) McAllister, was held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, from the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel, Summerside, by Roy Rutherford. The congregational hymn was "He Will Call". Pallbearers were Dave Bennett, Major Grady, Joe Gay, Don Roy, Isaac Postma and Terry Yasvinski. Flower bearers were her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and David, and grandson Michael McAllister. Also in attendance were representatives of Parkhill Place, Summerside. Interment will take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside, at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside.
