The funeral for Belinda G. Smith was held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, from the MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel to St. Andrew's United Church, Vernon, where Rev. Kevin Dingwell and Rev. Roger MacPhee conducted the service. The scripture was read by Alex Gay. Words of remembrance were offered by Cynthia Windsor. Soloist Richard MacRae sang Go Rest High On That Mountain, and soloist Ashley MacLeod sang Angel. Pianist Glen MacEachern played In The Garden and Peace In The Valley. Congregational hymns were In The Bulb There Is A Flower and Here I Am Lord. Organist was Lynda Sharpe. In attendance were members of the Vernon United Church Women, Veterans Affairs Canada, the Investors Group and Charlottetown Royalty Rotary Club. Pallbearers were Keith MacEachern, Vernon Peters, Ron Reid, Don Smith, Hal Smith and Wallace Smith. Interment will take place later in St. Andrew's United Church Cemetery.
