The funeral for Edward "Buster" Sonier, husband of Emma Sonier, of Summerside, was held on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where service was conducted at 11 a.m. by Rev. David Hamilton. Soloist/guitarist Rodney Savidant rendered "The Old Rugged Cross", "Shall We Gather at the River" and the recessional "Lord, I'm Coming Home". Attending the funeral service were members of Wedgewood Manor auxiliary, members of the Cascumpec and Area Book Club and representatives of the Cascumpec and Fortune Cove Hospital Aid. Everyone who knew "Buster" was considered to be an honorary pallbearer. Pallbearers were Robert Gallant, Allen Ramsay, Brent Butler, John Arsenault, John Carver and Luke Gallant. Flowerbearers were Patty Heckbert, Judy Kilbride, Rae Warren, Amy Hudson and Destiny Warren. Interment will take place later in Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Pleasant Valley.
