About PEICanada.com and the Island Press newspapers
Welcome to PEICanada.com!
This is a new kind of community website that joins with the Island Press
newspapers in a mission of helping our readers come together as a community.
With your help, we will provide a friendly, safe, easy to
use place on the web for everyone to post news items as well as share comments
and opinions.
This is a place where you take the lead in telling your own
story. If you wish to have you own voice you can contact us and we will set you
up with your own blog where you can post your own news and items.
In return, we ask that you meet this character challenge: be
a good citizen and exhibit community leadership qualities. It's a simple and
golden rule. Act as you would like your neighbours to act. We would like to
keep this a safe place for everyone.
We believe that newspapers should be a conversation -- both
online and in print. We promise to be open, accessible, and easy to contact.
With your help, we will continuously improve our newspapers, PEICanada.com and
the PEICanada.com community.

About the New PEICanada.com Site
The new PEICanada site is trying to bring a sense of community to your interaction with news. If you get an account (just click ‘Join Us’ in the very top left of the page), you can comment on articles, start online discussions with other users, create a profile for other users to see, and view the profiles of other users.
If you want access to more than the three free weekly articles, you can get a subscription. Through the automated paying service PayPal (see the 'Subscribe Online' link on the left and PayPal for more information), you can set up a payment so that you never have to worry about remembering renewal payments. If you don’t want to use the automated PayPal service, talk to the subscriptions manager (find the information on the ‘Contact Us’ page).
If you do get access as a subscriber, all of the new articles will be posted online on a weekly basis. You can access them by clicking on the ‘Subscriptions’ tab once you’ve signed in to your online account. There you can download all the new articles as they are posted to read while in front of your computer.
Don’t be afraid to look around on the site, click on all the links and learn more about the new options you get with the new site. If you have any questions, you can click on ‘Help’ in the top left of the page. Most of your questions about the new site should be answered there.
Thanks for participating in our online news community!
