Maureen Kerr is founder of Kerr Consulting, based in Prince Edward Island, a virtual marketing and PR firm whose niche is the Internet. Maureen is a work-at-home-mom and blogger, and the majority of her clients are in the small Atlantic province and include the Business Development Bank of Canada. Since 1999 Maureen has used the internet, and more recently, social media, to effectively market her businesses . She has recently led the development of websites, marketing strategies and blogs for numerous clients throughout Prince Edward Island, and works “virtually” for clients in Canada and the US. Maureen is an engaging blogger, writing for her own blog, as well for www.PEICanada.com and www.ProgressMedia.ca.

Maureen is extremely adept at navigating the internet and market research, networking, and “creating a buzz” have become second nature to her. She was recently featured as an entrepreneur on the Globe and Mail website, and won BDC's Young Entrepreneur of the Year for PEI in 2003. She was also featured on the cover of Atlantic Progress magazine as Atlatntic Canada's third fastest growing company for her first business, an online golf travel agency, in 2005.
