The funeral for Daniel Chowen, husband of the late Mildred (MacEwen) Chowen and the late Norma (Jewell) Chowen, of Charlottetown and formerly of Summerside, was held Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, to the Trinity United Church, Summerside, where service was conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. David Hamilton. Hymns were O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee, and Breathe On Me, Breath of God. Soloist James Hodge rendered Until Then. Organist was Christine Anderson Gallant. Ushers were Vernon Simpson and Bill Thompson. Pallbearers were Albert Martin, Doug Martin, Howard Martin, Peter Hayes, Joe MacEwen and Richard Rayner. Honorary pallbearers were Marcel Arsenault, Arnold and Betty Campbell, Waldron and Joyce Heffell, Don MacLeod, Trudy MacLeod, Tom and Rosaleen Mahoney, Wayne and Judy Newson and Walter and Georgie Simmons. Interment was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley, with Rev. David Hamilton officiating.
