These Georgetown youth convinced Canada Games mascots Eddie and Abbie to do a little physical activity by having a running race across the grounds behind the Georgetown Library. The mascots were in town as part of a tour of Eastern PEI which included stops in Montague, Stratford, Murray River and Georgetown.

Eddie and Abbey were pleased with the photos these youth drew of the Canada Games mascots. The youth seen here include, from left, Logan Ashford, Cora MacKenzie, Sami-Dee Chiasson and Maddy Murphy. Logan is the son of Darryl Ashford of Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland, Cora is the daughter of Lisa and Darryl MacKenzie of Georgetown, Sami-Dee is the daughter of Ruth and Clinton of Georgetown and Maddy is the daughter of Toby and Craig Murphy of Georgetown.

Fun and games with the Canada Games mascots in Georgetown

These Georgetown youth including, from left, Cora MacKenzie, Maddy Murphy and Jack MacKenzie, were attempting to draw pictures of Canada Games mascot Abbie as she and co-mascot Eddie visited the Georgetown Library. The visit also included other activities including storytime as well a little bit of physical exercise. The mascots took a tour of Eastern PEI recently during the runup to the Canada Games August 14 to 29, with visits at Montague, Georgetown, Stratford and Murray River.

Canada Games Mascots visit Eastern PEI

The Canada Games mascots Eddie and Abbie took a tour of PEI libraries recently, including four stops on Tuesday, July 21 in Stratford, Murray River, Montague and Georgetown, in the runup to this year’s Canada Games in August. The mascots are seen here outside the Montague Library with Anyssa Murray, left, and Liam Kennedy. Anyssa is the daughter of Josee St-Laurent of Point Pleasant and Liam is the son of Catherine and Edward Kennedy of Montague.
