Water works
Much of the worksite for the new Maplewood Manor in Alberton resembled a lake Thursday, Sept. 9 following heavy rains overnight. However the construction schedule is unaffected, according to officials. The land was sloped in such a way that water didn’t escape to neighbouring properties or to the road. Permission was granted by the Town of Alberton to direct water to the community’s storm drainage system. The new 48-unit long term care facility, the same number of units as the one it is replacing next door, is expected to be completed by August, 2011.
